Washington Huskies Look To Turn Page On Oregon, Focus On USC

The Huskies must overcome a blowout loss in a rivalry game and focus on another Top 10 opponent.

Losing to the No. 2 team in the nation sucks. When that team happens to be your most-bitter rival, the Oregon Ducks, and it comes via a blowout score of 52-21, it's a wound that can often take a while to heal.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, for the Washington Huskies, they don't have time to sit around feeling sorry for themselves, as they take on another Top 10 team this Saturday. This time, it's the USC Trojans, who will make their first trip to Seattle since 2009 (a UW win, by the way).

With sting of defeat still being felt, Steve Sarkisian took to his blog Sunday to deliver this message to the U-Dub faithful.

"We have got to pick ourselves up and get ready to play," said Coach Sark. "There is no time to dwell, we will clean up our mistakes and move on. That is football."

Since taking over as the head coach at Washington, Sark is 2-1 against his former employer. To add to the intrigue, this will be the last scheduled meeting between the two schools until 2015.
